Yvette Lantz is a dance instructor with 50 yrs experience teaching,  choreographing  and performing Ballet, Jazz and Modern Dance.  Beginning her early training in So. California she studied with multiple teachers in private studios as well as at Long Beach City College, California State University and she majored in dance at the University of Irvine, CA.

In Southern OR, Yvette taught Jazz Dance at Rogue Community College for 10 years, and taught Jazz and Ballet at All That Jazz Dance Studio for 15 years.  During these years she choreographed and performed with Rogue Dance Theater, Rogue Music Theater, Britt Festival and others.  Also during this period of  25 years, she was privileged to study at many workshops and seminars with Bill Evans and Kitty Daniels, the Eugene Ballet, Rosella Hightower Institute in Cannes,  France.  Master classes with Wesley Veldink, Greg Russell, Rhonda Miller, Michael Vernon were taken, as well as on-going classes with Richard Jessup, Penny King, Mary Cowden-Snyder and many, many others.

Yvette spent 11 years near the Seattle area and continued to teach, study and perform.  Returning to the Rogue Valley in 2016 she taught Adult Ballet in the Studio at True Juice for four years until interrupted by Covid.  Yvette continues teaching with private lessons for select students.

Her experience and education as a Registered Nurse (retired) contributes to her understanding of the body and expertise in teaching.  She especially enjoys encouraging musicality and progress in dance at any age.
